About Our People Said

Our People Said is a global youth initiative striving towards collective female empowerment through storytelling and community building. We are a digital platform that amplifies the narratives of women from all across the world. At Our People Said, we focus on giving every woman and girl a chance to share their story and aim to lead as many girls as possible towards the gender equality movement where they can raise their voices and create positive change for our world.

Serving as both a forum for storytelling and learning, Our People Said offers a variety of free and accessible resources to help educate our community on 'everything gender justice'. From articles and opinion pieces on the work of trailblazing women across the world who are championing change and activism in their community, to our digestible explanations on the intersections between gender equality and other forms of social, environmental and political activism, we are here to help you amplify your impact.

​Our People Said is founded and led by a team of gender-justice advocates from all walks of life and all corners of the globe. So what led us here? Beyond our shared goal to make collective female empowerment a reality for all women, all our stories began at the same point: zero. We all began our journey somewhere, even if that was nowhere. What drove the creation of Our People Said was our shared understanding that the most difficult step is often the first step: getting involved. That is why our platform has been crafted to ensure that your time spent with us is resourceful and offers you inspiration, knowledge and guidance.

MORE ABOUT OUR JOURNEY:

Beginning our development in late 2022 as a community-based organisation, Our People Said launched digitally in March 2023, allowing us to expand our impact and grow our community globally! In numbers, we have reached communities and activists across 14 countries in the world!
